We’ve had multiple individual clients who received outplacement services from large firms as part of their severance packages, but still decided to hire us (on their own dime) to receive the highly personalized services they truly needed, rather than a high-priced cookie cutter package.

    • Affordability: As a small firm with low overhead, we’re able to provide outplacement workshops and services for a fraction of what the “big guys” charge. In fact, our low-cost on-site outplacement services are even less than what the large firms normally charge for virtual services (eg., online seminars).

Outplacement Workshops & Services Offered

The workshop topics we cover are customized to the needs of your employees; examples include:

  • Resume creation: developing a modern and impressive resume (this can be a hands-on workshop that gets employees started on revamping their resumes, which we can review once they’re completed). We can also provide services to create resumes for employees if needed.
  • Online application training: applicant tracking systems, keywords, and best practices.
  • Job search trends and best practices: importance of being focused; networking; mistakes to avoid; and best practices.
  • LinkedIn: creating a compelling profile and using the site as a proactive tool for networking and visibility.
  • Personal brand development: identifying unique strengths and value.
  • Interviewing: etiquette, best practices, answering common questions, answering unexpected questions.
  • Misc.: cover letters, networking notes, elevator speeches.

Other outplacement services to help your employees can include:

  • Ongoing career coaching and job search coaching.
  • Branding packages for executives (resume, LinkedIn, coaching).
  • Career hotline for employees to call with any questions that arise during job search.

We’re based in Southern California and serve the following areas:

  • Washington, DC area: Our principal, Kelly Donovan, frequently travels to this area, and Northern Virginia and the District are convenient for her to serve.
  • Virtual: We can provide training for your employees anywhere through online seminars (“webinars”) and coaching sessions by phone.
  • Other cities nationwide: We can travel to your location.

Our Customized Approach

We have experience working with all levels of employees, from hourly laborers to C-level executives earning 7 figures annually. This is important because in terms of job search support, the needs of your warehouse workers or manual laborers are quite different from the needs of your office workers–more different than you might realize. For example, do you have an estimate of how many of these manual laborers aren’t fully literate, and would struggle to write content for their resumes? What about computer literacy? Are some of them more comfortable learning and interacting in Spanish, and would prefer workshops in Spanish? These are all needs we can work with you to address. Likewise, senior executives have unique needs, as well.
