Updates for Returning Clients
If we worked together in recent years, you won’t be paying full price again to make updates. Instead, we’ll build upon the foundation we already have.
Of course, if many years have passed, we’ll have more work to do—but you’ll still receive a discount compared to my current going rates.
“Agile Process” – Collaborative & Real-time Updates
For clients who worked with me within the last ~3 years, I offer the opportunity to update your resume and LinkedIn profile content through interactive live writing/editing sessions with me (via Zoom screen sharing). This streamlines the process and allows us to finalize the documents together in an efficient manner.
Things to keep in mind:
- Reach out as soon as you know you need an update, as sometimes it could take 1-2 weeks to get on my calendar (although not always, as I might have a cancellation allowing you to get on the calendar right away).
- Depending on the scope of the updates you’ll be needing, we might schedule one, two, or three in-depth Zoom sessions.
- Pricing depends on the scope of the updates and length of Zoom sessions.
- Please send a message or book a free call if you’d like a quote for your situation.
“Waterfall Process” – More Extensive Updates
If it’s been 5-10 years or more since we worked together, and you have had significant changes, growth, and accomplishments during that time, we’ll probably want to go through a process similar to our original process (but it won’t need to be quite as comprehensive).
Things to keep in mind:
- Reach out as soon as you know you need an update, as sometimes it could take 1-2 weeks to get on my calendar (although not always, as I might have a cancellation allowing you to get on the calendar right away).
- Anticipate a turnaround of ~8-10 business days following our detailed “Deep Dive Session” to gather information. We will then meet via Zoom to review, discuss, and edit the updated content.
- Pricing will depend on the scope of the project, which will vary depending on how much time has passed and how many roles you’ve had during that time.
- We’ll probably be able to re-use a lot of the existing content on your resume and LinkedIn profile from last time—but how much depends on how long it’s been, how much of the older experience needs to be condensed, and whether you’re still in the same profession and industry.
- You’ll also receive a loyalty discount that will save you money compared to what a brand new client would be paying.
- Feel free to send a message or book a free call if you’d like a custom quote based on your situation.
Which Process?
You might be wondering if your updates can be accomplished with the Agile Process described above, or if they require a Waterfall Process (and the longer timeline it entails). It depends on the nature of the project, and also depends on your preferences, as well as your interest (or lack thereof) in collaborating in real-time. Please schedule a free call to chat about what you need, and we can figure out what works best!
Legacy Clients
Were you an early client, working with me more than a decade ago?
A lot has changed in that time—my business and pricing have evolved and grown, and I’m sure you’ve had some changes, too!
While some things change, I still want to be there for “blast-from-the-past” clients who were there in the early years of the business.
For legacy clients, I’m willing to offer creative solutions to help with updates for a modest investment. If you’re in need of updates, please book a free call, and we can chat about options.
I’m looking forward to helping you again!
